BUT YOU CAN’T BE REWRITING THE WORD TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE SAVED

It is no secret that I find a lot of liberal theology as nothing more than a heresy. The orientation of liberal theology isn’t the word of God, but psychological-anthropological-mystic-humanism. Liberal theologians are always trying to move the word of God into line with western decadence and post-modern enlightenment. This goes right smack in the face of most Reformed, Catholic or Evangelical theology. When you start synthesizing faith with philosophical meanings you dilute the Holy Scriptures and practice of Piety. This is not to say that all of liberalism is evil, there are some good points and it focuses on human suffering, but you can not, as the song says, change the word of God to make sure you are walking in his will. It doesn’t work that way.

    I get beat up a lot by the liberal thinkers out there, and in Christian music there are many more than one would think, but I stand firm. We are all sinners, we all fall short of the glory of God, but we can’t read scripture, sail in the opposite direction and then tell the flock that God will bless us. Liberals tend to treat the Bible as a text book, or a guide to reflect our moral compass off of. It is a guide book written too long ago by men who aren’t nearly as enlightened as they see themselves. The two things I find most annoying about most liberal Christians are there illiberal spirit when it comes to discussing their faith and their arrogance to think that they are enlightened and somehow forging new ground in their intellect.   

  Non Christian liberals tend to see us all as hypocrites because we preach the word and when a Christian falls they beat them up for their sin. They don’t realize that the reason we need a savior is because we are still sinners and human’s living in a fallen state.

  I want to be clear on one other point. The liberal thinkers out there who are propagating the idea that there are many ways to heaven, and we must be tolerant to other paths is quite funny. I mean, if you read your Bible, Christians don’t go to heaven. We go to God’s new city nd the non believers are kept outside the gates. (Rev 21)
